Newsletter

Hi! This is where I will be sharing some of the ways to bring yoga into your daily life, and ways to choose healthier options while dealing with day to day stressors.

I'll keep you posted on events and classes that may be going on that may be of interest to you.

I invite you to contact me and ask any questions you may have and if I don't have the answer, maybe I can help steer you in the right direction. There's a lot of information out there to sift through, and it can get confusing sometimes.

I also encourage you to send me any articles or information that may help others to feel better, too. Sometimes the simplest things can be the most helpful.
One of my teacher's favorite sayings was, "The easy way is hard enough." And what isn't easier with a little help from friends?

NEW CD'S

The cd's are finally ready!

I ended up wearing a Madonna-type headset and recording an entire class in the production studio; next best thing to being there" I've been told it is really easy to follow and some students have been using it while on vacation. I've made it as far as Edinburg, Scotland, so I guess I'm internationally known now!

Let me know if you'd like a copy....I'm selling them for $20 and would be happy to drop one in the mail to you.

READINGS

Yoga, yoga, everywhere! You don't have to delve into the ancient scriptures to find yoga philosophy, it's showing up in some really wonderful, easy to understand books these days. Authors like Ekhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Marianne WIlliamson, and Don Miquel Ruiz are all writing about it. They may not call it yoga, but that's exactly what they are talking about.

By definition, yoga is quieting the chatter of the mind , so that we can rise above the mind, tap into our hearts and realize just who we really are. It all starts and ends with awareness. Not listening to the ongoing tapes that play in our heads, but getting quiet, taking a step back, and seeing what is really going on. That way we can respond to what's really happening, instead of reacting from a place of confusion.

In yoga, we start by doing this with our physical bodies. Really experiencing what we feel while we are doing our postures, not hung up on how they look. This tames the mind to focus on present time, and prepares us to then be able to observe the mind itself. With this new awareness, we can choose our thoughts, instead of being dragged around by them. Since most of our stress is created in our minds as we react to our thoughts, this is HUGE!!! This allows us to find peace, no matter what is going on around us.
